DC4K groups blend, games, music, stories, videos and discussion to help kids process the divorce and move forward. Groups meet weekly and are designed for children ages 5-12.<\/p>\n<p><em>Support Students with Learning Differences<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Fremont Autism Support Group:\u00a0<\/strong>Access to programs depends on eligibility. Offers a chance to meet other parents with autistic children.<\/p>\n39155 Liberty St.<br \/>\nFremont, CA, 94538\n<p><strong>Understood:\u00a0<\/strong>is a new, free online resource (in English and Spanish) that is aimed at providing families with the practical tools and advice for their child&#8217;s academic, social, and emotional journey and especially for children struggling with learning and\/or attention issues.<\/p>\n<p>The website offers the following (and more):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>A feature that allows the parent to fill out a &#8220;Just for You&#8221; profile that will cull articles to fit your interests and your child&#8217;s age and issues<\/li>\n<li>A &#8220;Parenting Coach&#8221; feature that allows parents to search for ideas and advice based on the specific challenge<\/li>\n<li>A &#8220;Tech Finder&#8221; feature that helps you find expert-approved apps and games for your child<\/li>\n<li>A &#8220;Through Your Child&#8217;s Eyes&#8221; feature that allows the parents to experience, first-hand, what their child&#8217;s struggle<\/li>\n<li>Helpful articles<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>MENTAL HEALTH RESOURCES<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>If your family has MediCal, you can call Alameda County ACCESS at\u00a0(800) 491-9099 to find out about Bay Area agencies that offer mental health counseling for MediCal families. You can also call them to find out mental health practitioners that speak a different language other than English.<\/p>\n<p>If your family has private insurance, you can visit the Psychology Today website link below to search for a database of therapist in your area. You can filter your search based on your insurance, geographic area, issues you are seeking help, and other factors.
