Update: September 20, 2023, 10:25am<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Dear Fremont Unified Community,<\/p>\r\n Air quality conditions are improving across much of Fremont, though we know these conditions can change quickly, and vary across neighborhoods.<\/p>\r\n Our District will continue to monitor local air quality using several sources, including AirNow<\/a>, and activity modifications at each school site may change throughout the day in alignment with the recommended activity modifications for specified air quality levels<\/a>, based on the air quality in the school’s immediate area.<\/p>\r\n Current information will continue to be posted to our website<\/a>, and the District and\/or sites will send further communication if any action is needed.<\/p>\r\n Sincerely,<\/p>\r\nCJ Cammack September 20, 2023, 6:30am<\/strong><\/p>\r\n Dear Fremont Unified Community,<\/p>\r\n We are experiencing poor air quality in our area due to fires in Northern California and Oregon.<\/p>\r\n All schools are open, with some modifications to minimize the impact of the poor air quality on students and staff:<\/p>\r\n Our District is continuing to monitor local air quality using several sources, including\u00a0\u00a0AirNow<\/a>, and will refer to the\u00a0\u00a0recommended activity modifications for specified air quality levels<\/a>\u00a0from the\u00a0\u00a0Bay Area Air Quality Management District<\/a>.<\/p>\r\n Students and staff may wish to wear a face covering, such as an N-95 mask. Limited quantities of face coverings may be available for those with respiratory needs, such as asthma, in our front offices.<\/p>\r\n Employees who work outdoors should consult with their immediate supervisor for modifications and\/or additional safety measures.<\/p>\r\n
