So much has happened as we finish up the last two weeks of October. Our students and staff had so much fun showing school spirit during Red Ribbon week. The basketball season has officially started and the girls and boys final rosters have been announced. The annual Halloween parade was filled with cute, creative, and spooky costumes! Trunk or Treat hosted by PTO was visited by over 500 families!<\/div>\n

As we enter into the colder months of fall, please keep students at home if they are sick. Next week, we will have our well-deserved school Fun Run prize, the MAGIC SHOW. We are so excited!<\/div>\n

The Young Authors Contest is coming up!\u00a0If your child would like to participate, they should start thinking of short story ideas and ask Ms. Johnson (the science teacher) for an information packet. You can also get the information at:<\/div>\n

PBIS Parent Volunteers Needed<\/strong><\/div>\n
As we continue to grow our PBIS efforts this year, we are looking to add parent involvement to our PBIS team! On the third Wednesday of each month our team meets to discuss plans for PBIS at Bringhurst. We would need parent input for the first 15-20 minutes of each meeting (1:45 - 2:00pm). We would share what issues we are seeing on campus and have you brainstorm with the team on how to address these needs at school. Please let us know if you're interested!<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n

Rainy Day Protocol<\/h2><\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n

Help us remind students of these protocols to better prepare for unpredictable weather!<\/div>\n

  1. Please encourage students to use their raincoats instead of their umbrellas to prevent any accidents.<\/li>\n
  2. A reminder that Kindergarteners will NOT be able to use an umbrella if it rains during pick-up time as kids would be sitting too close to each other, so please prepare rain coats.<\/li>\n
  3. Our closed campus policy is still in place despite the weather changes. You may instruct your child to walk to their classroom and out of the rain in the morning, there will be many adults to assist and supervise students. Please do NOT ask students to open gates for you, or walk in the campus after school for pick up. <\/u>\n<\/li>\n
  4. \nOur priority is safety. <\/strong>Kindly respect our traffic crew and their instructions as they help in the morning, rain or shine!<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<\/div>\n<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table>\n
