Mustangs- Here is your daily bulletin for: Thursday, April 10, 2025

Continuing the School Library Week Celebration, Today is Take Action for Libraries Day. \u00a0It is a day to rally advocates to support libraries. This year, as library funding is under attack, the American Library Association encourages every library advocate to Show Up and tell Congress to protect federal funding for libraries. \u00a0Come on by to find out who your representatives are and send them an email! Also, A bookmark competition begins today! \u00a0Design a clever, imaginative and colorful bookmark that will be displayed and reproduced into bookmarks for our library. \u00a0The theme is “Open a Book, Open your Mind” \u00a0and The deadline to enter is 4\/30. The Library Scavenger Hunt, Mad Libs, and Secret Book Winner games continue. \u00a0So far, we’ve had 8 secret book winners!


Attention 8th graders! If you speak Spanish at home and would like to take Spanish class next year, Washington High School is offering Spanish 3 for Spanish speakers. If you would like an opportunity to take this class, please email or make an appointment to see Mr. Renteria by Thursday to learn how.

Girls’ Lunch Intramural Basketball Schedule: Thursday 4\/10

Students, if you are not planning to get breakfast or lunch, please do not go into the kitchen. Students who get in the line but who are not getting food slow down the process for everyone.

Students: As a reminder, toy guns, including water guns, are not allowed on campus. Students who bring one to school will receive consequences including getting on the restricted list.
Did you know Spring is quickly approaching? This means there will be awesome end of the year activities coming up, better weather, and the restricted list. The restricted list is the list of students who will not be eligible to participate in the exciting, upcoming activities. How do you get on the restricted list? \u00a0Any student who is:
*Tardy eight or more times
*Assigned lunch and\/or after school detention eight or more times
*Receives more than three RC referrals
*Receives three student discipline referrals to the assistant principal
*Any student who is suspended on or off campus for a partial or full day
These students will be placed on the restricted list starting on March 1st through the end of the school year. The restricted list students lose the opportunity to participate in one or more upcoming activities. The good news is this is progressive and you can earn the privilege to attend the next special event if you are on the restricted list by following the three R\u2019s ( be Respectful, be Responsible, and be Ready to learn).
