{"id":233,"date":"2022-10-05T00:00:00","date_gmt":"2022-10-05T00:00:00","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fusd.dev.apppresser.com\/centerville\/2022\/10\/05\/the-daily-mustang-october-6-2022\/"},"modified":"2022-10-05T00:00:00","modified_gmt":"2022-10-05T00:00:00","slug":"the-daily-mustang-october-6-2022","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/fremontunified.org\/centerville\/uncategorized\/the-daily-mustang-october-6-2022\/","title":{"rendered":"The Daily Mustang, October 6, 2022"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">Are you interested in being a School Site Council representative?&nbsp; This year we are looking for one 7th Grade School Site Council representative.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">The <\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:bookman,serif\">School Site Council&hellip;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<ul>\r\n    <li><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:bookman,serif\">develops the yearly School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) to help students that are struggling.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n    <li><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:bookman,serif\">recommends the plan including a budget to the school board.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n    <li><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:bookman,serif\">has the on-going responsibility to determine the effectiveness of Centerville&rsquo;s programs.<\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n    <li><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:bookman,serif\">helps to make Centerville a better school.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/li>\r\n<\/ul>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">Students need to be voted in so if you&#039;re interested on being on the ballot, pick up information in the front office.&nbsp; Forms must be returned by Friday, October 7th.&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">See Mr. Lewis if you have any questions.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span style=\"font-family:arial black,sans-serif\">Girls Volleyball&hellip;<\/span><\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span style=\"font-family:arial black,sans-serif\">game afterschool today&hellip;.must have your ID card for entrance.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">Merit Club:&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">work party Today in F-106.&nbsp; Lots to do, so get here early and be ready to help.<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:comic sans ms\">October Kindness Month,<\/span><\/span><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:comic sans ms\"> kindness club members will be handing out kindness bucks to students who demonstrate kindness to others.&nbsp; You may spend these at the mustang store on Friday.&nbsp; Also, on Thursday the game room will be closed so that everyone can join us for the Kindness Carnival outside of M4<\/span><\/span><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">AMC 8:&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">Math students, the American Math Competition is coming.&nbsp; The AMC8 is a nationwide algebra level math competition.&nbsp; If you would like to participate, pick up a registration form from your math teacher OR get one from F-106.&nbsp; Deadline to register is October 11<sup>th<\/sup>.&nbsp; Cost is $8.00<\/span><\/span><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong><em><span style=\"color:black\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">&lsquo;Kindness&rsquo; Art Competition:&nbsp; <\/span><\/span><\/em><\/strong><em><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">Leadership and WEB are hosting a Kindness Art Competition. We want you to create a digital or physical piece of art that represents what kindness means to you. Submissions are due to Ms. Denarola in F105 by October 26th. Winner will be announced at the end of&nbsp;the month.&nbsp;<\/span><\/span><\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n<p><strong><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">Enter the library&#039;s Great Pumpkin contest!<\/span><\/span><\/strong><strong><span style=\"color:#222222\"><span style=\"font-family:arial,sans-serif\">&nbsp; Entry forms are available in the library. Decorate a pumpkin shape into your favorite book character.
