P.E. Shoe Policy:<\/strong><\/p>\nStudents must wear sneakers or tennis shoes that remain securely on their feet during P.E. class.\u00a0 No sandals, boots, dance shoes, crocs, cleats, etc.\u00a0 To ensure student safety, students who are not wearing appropriate shoes for P.E. may miss out on learning\/demonstrating vital P.E. skills.<\/strong><\/p>\n
\nStudents will be graded on the five Physical Education Model Content Standards for California Public Schools:<\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\nStandard 1:
\nStudents demonstrate the motor skills and movement patterns needed to perform a variety of physical activities.\nStandard 2:
\nStudents demonstrate knowledge of movement concepts, principles, and strategies that apply to the learning and performance of physical activities.\nStandard 3:
\nStudents assess and maintain a level of physical fitness to improve health and performance.\nStandard 4:
\nStudents demonstrate knowledge of physical fitness concepts, principles, and strategies to improve health and performance.\nStandard 5:
\nStudents demonstrate and utilize knowledge of psychological and sociological concepts, principles, and strategies that apply to the learning and performance of physical activity.\nFood:
\nNo food in class. You may bring water to drink if needed.\nSick or Injured:
\nYou must have a note from your parent or doctor to be excused from participating in P.E.\u00a0 If unable to participate in P.E. for more than 1 week, a doctors note is needed.\n
