It is amazing to consider the people, events and changes our schools have seen and supported since 1964. I look forward to celebrating Fremont Unified&#8217;s past, present and future at our <a href=\"https:\/\/fremontunified.org\/events\">State of the District presentation<\/a> on January 30. <strong>I hope you can join us<\/strong>; please find more information and a link to stream the event below.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Effective January 22, Fremont Unified is updating its COVID-19 protocols for students and staff<\/strong> to align with recent changes to COVID-19 guidance and regulations applicable to California schools, employers and employees. If symptoms develop, the criteria above will apply.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Face coverings following a COVID-19 diagnosis (with or without symptoms) are:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Recommended for students through day 10<\/strong>, or following two sequential negative tests at least one day apart. Day 0 is symptom onset date or positive test date.<\/li>\n<li><strong>Required for employees through day 10<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dir.ca.gov\/DOSH\/Coronavirus\/Covid-19-NE-Reg-FAQs.html#controls\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">per Cal\/OSHA guidance for workplaces<\/a>. Day 0 is symptom onset date or positive test date.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li>Close contact notifications and testing opportunities will be provided to staff exposed at the workplace to individuals with COVID-19 during their infectious period.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Fremont Unified&#8217;s current COVID-19 protocols and resources will remain available at <a href=\"https:\/\/fremontunified.org\/covid\">fremontunified.org\/covid<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>For students with symptoms of illness who test negative for COVID-19, please refer to California Department of Public Health guidance on when a student should stay home from school, available in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CID\/DCDC\/CDPH%20Document%20Library\/COVID-19\/SS4A\/Symptom-Guidance-Annex-B-English.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">English<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CID\/DCDC\/CDPH%20Document%20Library\/COVID-19\/SS4A\/Symptom-Guidance-Annex-B-Spanish.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Spanish<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CID\/DCDC\/CDPH%20Document%20Library\/COVID-19\/SS4A\/Symptom-Guidance-Annex-B-Chinese-Traditional.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Chinese<\/a>, and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cdph.ca.gov\/Programs\/CID\/DCDC\/Pages\/Schools\/SymptomGuidance.aspx#Additional%20Materials\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">additional languages Enrollment Information<\/h2>\n<p>Information on transitional kindergarten (TK), kindergarten, sibling priority and other new student enrollment for the 2024-25 school year is now available at <a between September 2, 2024 and June 2, 2025 can enroll in this free program for 2024-25 to get a head start in school and build their social, communication and independence skills.<\/p>\nIf your student is <strong>currently attending an FUSD school in grades TK-11, there is no\u00a0<\/strong>need to
