Just a reminder that we are hosting a virtual Parent Education Night tonight beginning at 6:00 PM. If your child is transitioning to TK\/K this August, it is important for you to attend this\u00a0event. Please find the event details below:<\/div>

Transition to TK\/K<\/span><\/p>\r\n

In the coming days, weeks, and months you might hear family, friends, neighbors, and community members talking about enrollment for transitional kindergarten \u00a0(TK) or kindergarten for the upcoming 2026-2027 school year. As a Glankler\/Rix student you\u00a0<\/span>DO NOT<\/span>\u00a0need to re-enroll your child for TK or kindergarten. As a current Fremont Unified School District student (because of your services through Glankler) your child will automatically be placed in the age appropriate grade (TK or Kinder) in one of our schools for next year. This will also be discussed more during your child\u2019s transition IEP later this winter\/spring.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
\r\n

Your child is\u00a0<\/span>eligible for TK<\/span>\u00a0if they were born between 9\/2\/2021 – 9\/1\/2022<\/span><\/p>\r\n
\r\n

Your child is<\/span>\u00a0eligible for kindergarten<\/span>\u00a0if they were born between 9\/2\/2020 – 9\/1\/2021<\/span><\/p>\r\n
\r\n

Please note, you will not get your school placement for the 2026-2027 school year until mid-May 2026.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n
\r\n

However, in February you will get an email through a system called Informed K12 asking for residency verification. You will submit this online form along with 2 proofs of residency documents to secure your seat for the 2026-2027 school year.<\/span><\/p>\r\n
\r\n

Again, you DO NOT need to enroll for TK or kindergarten as we will automatically do this process for you.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\r\n
