This is a great time to meet with your child&#8217;s teachers and hear about the year&#8217;s learning goals and activities.\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/docs.google.com\/document\/d\/1ef739i0NqwjdJp6u7ppvF-Qoe3rTtqW5LaX2JFveY1U\/copy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">See Back to School Night details and school map here<\/a>.\u00a0<br><br><strong>Girls Volleyball Team Updates<\/strong>: We are still in search of a Girls Volleyball coach. Interested candidates should email me (nkuei@fusdk12.net) their resumes and cover letters.\u00a0<br><br><strong>Wellness Room Soft Opening<\/strong>: Starting Monday, 8\/18, our new Wellness Room located in the D-nest will open for one hour after school. Space is limited to 20 students. If your child is interested, please have them head directly to the Wellness\nRoom directly after school. Students may leave the Wellness Room at any time, but once they check out will not be allowed back in. This is a great opportunity to build your child\u2019s home library with new books they\u2019ll dive into again and again. The easiest way to let your child shop the\nFair independently is by creating an eWallet (<a href=\"https:\/\/www.scholastic.com\/bf\/hopkinsmiddleschool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">see more information here<\/a>). It\u2019s easy to set up and easy for others to add funds.\u00a0<strong>Opening Hours:\u00a0<\/strong><ul>\n<li>\n<strong><\/strong>7:45 &#8211; 8 AM<\/li>\n<li>During school hours, students will be visiting with English teachers.<\/li>\n<li>2:30 &#8211; 3:30 PM<\/li>\n<li>Back to School Night on Wednesday, 8\/20, 5:45-7:45 PM<strong><\/strong>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul><strong>PFA Donations<\/strong>: Our PFA, the Parent-Faculty Association, would like to encourage all families to donate to our non-profit organization. All donations collected will be used to work alongside the Hopkins Staff towards as goal of supporting and appreciating staff, improving student curriculum and school events and beautification of the school. We will accept donations all yearlong, but it\u2019s most beneficial at the start of the year when we are planning and budgeting for the current school year! Students who are interested in starting a club should complete the following steps:<ol>\n<li>Find a staff member to be your club advisor and work out a weekly club meeting time when they are able to supervise your club meetings.<\/li>\n<li>Brainstorm activities that will take place during your club meetings.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Create a slide that has your club&#8217;s information, share it with your club advisor to be included in the Hawk Bulletin.\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol><strong>Field Sports during Lunchtime:<\/strong> Students may bring their own basketball, soccer, volleyball, etc. for a friendly game with others during lunch.
