Students shall not wear clothing that presents a health or\u00a0safety hazard, or is likely to cause a substantial disruption to the educational program. Each site is\u00a0to inform parents and\/or legal guardians and students in writing of its dress code at the beginning\u00a0of the school year and whenever the dress code is revised. The dress code for\u00a0each school is in\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/go.boarddocs.com\/ca\/fremont\/Board.nsf\/goto?open&amp;id=9KC9VB7A70CE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>AR 5132<\/strong><\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Follow these guidelines and help us toward our goal of providing the best educational environment possible.\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Dress Code from Head to Toe<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/fremontunified.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/07\/dress-code-graphic.png\" alt=\"Dress Code\" width=\"100%\" \/><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Sunglasses, hats, caps, hoods and other non-religious\/cultural head coverings shall not be worn indoors.<\/li>\n<li>Shirts, tops, and dresses must have straps.<\/li>\n<li>May not wear any gang-related, clothing, jewelry, emblems.<\/li>\n<li>May not wear chains, spikes on jackets\/pants.<\/li>\n<li>Midriff must be covered.<\/li>\n<li>Garments covering the lower body must be sufficient to cover the buttocks.<\/li>\n<li>Additionally, protective attire may be required in specialized settings.<\/li>\n<li>Shoes must be worn.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Along with the dress code visual posted, the following articles of clothing may not be worn to school:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Pajamas or flannel pants that resemble pajamas, nightgowns<\/li>\n<li>Bathrobes or slippers<\/li>\n<li>Tights worn in place of pants<\/li>\n<li>Flip flop sandals<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>If a student violates the dress code policy, he\/she will be sent to the office to resolve the dress code issue.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>First infraction &#8211; the student is given a warning plus change of clothing\/or parent\/guardian will be called to bring a change of clothes.<\/li>\n<li>Students who violate the dress code repeatedly may receive progressive disciplinary consequences.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/open?id=1QoybqFXUoI3BwpPVhdd4CMRUx3uMbfG5\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FLYER<\/a>\u00a0(pdf)<\/h3>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>FUSD would like to thank its students, families and community for its feedback regarding the District&#8217;s dress code.
