This center works with students, parents, counselors, and the community to provide career guidance and college information to the students of John F. Kennedy High. \u00a0Career search, assessments, CTE (Career Technical Education) opportunities, college searches, application submissions, and financial aid information and assistance are available at the center.<\/p>\n

Current Seniors who want a Final Transcript there are 2 ways to obtain it . . . .<\/strong><\/p>\n

  1. Option #1 :Order your transcript through Parchment at\u00a0https:\/\/www.parchment.com\/u\/registration\/170927\/account<\/a>\u00a0 You are able to track\u00a0your order, but there is a $10.25 per transcript fee.<\/li>\n
  2. OPTION #2: <\/strong>Take Ms. Bullock a self addressed, stamped envelope to the College that you want it sent to. Complete the form that is outside her door and place it with the envelope. There is no tracking of the transcript using this choice, it will be sent out in the US mail.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    It is never too early for students to begin their college and career planning.<\/strong><\/h4>\n

    12th Grade (Seniors)\u00a0<\/strong><\/h2>\n
      \n
    1. College Visits<\/strong>\u00a0 Colleges visit the John F. Kennedy campus during the year. \u00a0 10th, 11th, and 12th grade students can attend the presentations all year.\u00a0 9th graders are not allowed to attend until second term of the 9th grade year.\u00a0 If you are a second term 9th grade student and you wish to attend, please contact Ms. Miller.<\/li>\n
    2. College Application Labs<\/strong> are held after school in the library, October through November.\u00a0 Our Counselors provide this service to assist seniors applying to college.<\/li>\n
    3. Financial Aid Night<\/strong>\u00a0 Our Financial Aid Night takes place in the fall, except for the 23\/24 school year. It will be held in January that year.)\u00a0 \u00a0 Financial Aid Night, gives an overview of the financial aid process so you understand what do do and when to do it.\u00a0 This evening is presented by Evelyn Diaz Sanchez from Ohlone College.<\/li>\n
    4. Financial Aid Application Labs<\/strong> are held after school in the Career & College Center as needed.\u00a0 Please contact Ms. Miller for an appointment.<\/li>\n
    5. ACT and SAT Fee Waivers<\/strong>\u00a0 If you qualify, you are eligible for a limited number of fee waivers for the ACT, SAT, and SAT single subject exams.\u00a0 Contact Ms. Miller for the waiver or more information.<\/li>\n
    6. The California State University's NEW placement method for English and math.<\/strong>\u00a0 The CSU's have established a Multiple Measures evaluation\u00a0for placement in the correct English and math classes.\u00a0 The CSU will use the highest achieved measure\u00a0to determine placement in the appropriate General Education English and math courses.\u00a0 Please review the\u00a0multiple measures placement rubric here<\/a>.\u00a0\u00a0The multiple measures include:\n
