Parenting Groups<\/em><\/h3>\n

1. Narika <\/strong><\/a>offers a virtual parenting group for South Asian Families called SAPHAL. The focus will be on fostering positive communication between parents and their children. For more information, please click on this flyer.<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

2. 4C’s of Alameda County<\/a> <\/strong>is offering a virtual parenting series focused on parenting tweens. All participants will also receive 1 free coaching session from a parenting coach. Please click on this flyer<\/a> <\/strong>for more information.<\/p>\n

Mental Health\u00a0Resources:<\/strong><\/em><\/h3>\n

1.\u00a0The Community Counseling Clinic (CCC) <\/strong>at California State University, East Bay offers free online therapy, support groups, and community referrals. For more information, please check out this document<\/a>\u00a0with\u00a0information on CCC, the services they\u00a0offer, how and when we provide services, and how interested folks can get in contact with us. 2.For families on\u00a0Medi-Cal seeking mental health services, please the ACCESS Line at\u00a01-800-491-9099.\u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>The\u00a0Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services’ (ACBHCS)\u00a0ACCESS<\/strong>\u00a0Program is the system wide point\u00a0of contact for information, screening and referrals for mental health and substance use services and treatment for Alameda County residents.<\/p>\n

3. For families with other insurance providers\u00a0seeking mental health services, please click on this underlined link to get connected with Care Solace<\/a>.<\/strong>\u00a0 FUSD has partnered with Care Solace to help our students\/families navigate health services and find providers covered by their insurance provider.<\/p>\n

4. Suicide and Crisis\u00a0Lifeline-988:\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>In 2020, Congress designated the new 988 dialing code to be operated through the existing National Suicide Prevention Lifeline. The Lifeline is a United States-based suicide prevention network of 161 crisis centers that provides a 24\/7, toll-free hotline available to anyone in suicidal crisis or emotional distress.<\/p>\n

5. Crisis Text Line:\u00a0<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0Text HOME to 741741 to reach a crisis counselor for free crisis counseling 24 hours\/7days a week via text message.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0Psychology Today-Find a Therapist<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>has a website link below to search for a database of therapists based on zip code. You can filter your search based on your insurance, geographic area, issues you are seeking help, and other factors.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Tri-City Health Center<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0bach.health\/Tri-City Health Center offers medical, dental, and vision services, as well as specialty services such as acupuncture, chiropractic care, and podiatry. We aim to serve all patients, regardless of their ability to pay. Aside from offering medical services, TCHC also offers free enrollment assistance for a variety of public assistance programs, such as Medi-Cal, Covered California, CalFresh, and HealthPAC. 3.City of Fremont’s Parks and Recreation<\/a><\/strong>:<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0they offer a wide-range of afterschool and summer activities for children residing in the Fremont area.\u00a0 Some program are offered on sliding scale depending on family income. FACE (Fremont Adult and Continuing Education)<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0offers a variety of free or low-cost academic classes for adults residing in the Fremont area.\u00a0\u00a0These classes\u00a0include English as a Second Language (ESL),\u00a0 Citizenship, High School Diploma\/G.E.D., Basic Education (ABE), and Adults with Disabilities (AWD) Classes. Some
\nco-sponsored courses, such as with Ohlone college, are FREE as well. Community Education, Career Technical and other specialty classes\u00a0require a fee for participation.\n

Our 24-hour Parent Support & Resource Hotline provides free and confidential counseling, information\u00a0to anyone in need of parenting support and access to nearly 900 community resources from our vast database. You have access to caring treatment specialists for one-time anonymous calls or regular callbacks to support you with your particular parenting or family concerns, refer you to Family Paths’ services, or provide other Alameda County resources.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0<\/strong>Hume Center’s South Asian Community Health\u00a0Program offers FREE parent support groups\/workshops in languages such as Farsi, Hindi, Nepali, Punjabi, Kannada, and Telugu. \u00a0\u00a0<\/strong>Here is a\u00a0link<\/a>\u00a0to get more information.<\/p>\n

3. Divorce Care for Kids:<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0provides an online directory of Bay Area divorce support group for children. \u00a0A DivorceCare for Kids (DC4K) group is a safe, fun place where your children can learn skills that will help them heal. DC4K groups blend, games, music, stories, videos, and discussion to help kids process the divorce and move forward. Also provides a directory of articles with parenting advice and strategies.<\/p>\n

\u00a04.<\/strong>\u00a0<\/em>Understood.org<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0is a new, free online resource (in English and Spanish) that is aimed at providing families with the practical tools and advice for their child’s academic, social, and emotional journey and especially for children struggling with learning and\/or attention issues.<\/p>\n

\u00a05. Gender Spectrum<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>is an organization that provides a variety of free online spaces for\u00a0LGBTQ, gender-inclusive, and non-binary\u00a0communities.\u00a0 They also offer resources and parenting support in Spanish.<\/p>\n

6.\u00a0Autism Speaks<\/a>:<\/strong>\u00a0National organization that provides information, parenting advice, and online spaces for supporting the needs of individuals with autism.<\/p>\n

7. Parenting Cue Cards<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>provides practical strategies and recommendations for how to deal with challenging parental situations ranging from discipline, dishonesty, attitude and defiance, managing screen time, getting along with siblings, and other hot-button issues. Developed by Yale University’s Center for Emotional Intelligence and Great Schools.<\/p>\n

Friends of Children with Special Needs (FCSN)<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0mission is to help individuals with special needs and their families find love, hope, respect, and support through integrated community involvement. FCSN provides a range of services from respite care, family support programs, adult services, children’s services like afterschool care, summer programs, and other supports. Financial Resources:<\/em><\/strong><\/h3>\n

1. Fremont Rental Assistance Program:\u00a0<\/strong><\/a>The City of Fremont Human Services Department is excited to announce that a new rental assistance program will be launching on April 1, 2021.\u00a0The focus will be on helping renters pay past due rent and future rents, get caught up with utility bills, and to help landlords who are owed rents. 2.\u00a0California COVID-19 Response:\u00a0<\/a>\u00a0<\/strong>created by the CA government to create a centralized website to find out information on COVID-19 testing centers, emotional health resources, financial assistance especially for small businesses, and receive alerts in your county.<\/p>\n

3. Relief Funds for Undocumented Workers in California<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>provides a chart of relief funds and\/or financial assistance for undocumented, domestic, service, and other types of workers in California.<\/p>\n

4. EDD-How to File for a Disability Insurance Claim in SDI Online<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n

5.\u00a0<\/a>PG&E’s Financial Assistance Programs<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

6. Alameda County’s Community Development Agency<\/a><\/strong>\u00a0provides information on eviction moratorium and rent relief options.<\/p>\n

7.<\/a><\/strong>CA Low-Cost Auto Insurance Program:<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0The\u00a0California Low Cost Auto Insurance<\/a>\u00a0(CLCA) Program is a state-sponsored legislative program (SB 570<\/a>), administered by CDI and the\u00a0California Automobile Assigned Risk Plan<\/a>\u00a0(CAARP). CLCA provides affordable liability insurance to low-to-moderate-income California drivers regardless of immigration status. As more and more families struggle to pay their bills during this difficult time, he CLCA program offers them the opportunity to purchase insurance at an affordable price.<\/p>\n

8. CA COVID-19 Rent Relief<\/a>:\u00a0<\/strong>The CA COVID-19 Rent Relief program provides financial assistance for rent and utilities to income-eligible California renters and their landlords who have been impacted by COVID-19. Both renters and landlords can apply for assistance.\u00a0 Depending on the address of your rental property, you may be eligible for a local program.
