In the coming year, I look forward to getting to know Fremont and building relationships centered on positivity and trust. I will keep the District moving in the direction set by the Board of Education in consultation with our staff and community, and we will collectively remain responsive to emerging needs and opportunities.<\/p>\r\n
I am thrilled that at the start of my tenure in this district, I get to jump into the amazing work of our staff in partnership with our community and Board to develop the draft\u00a0Long Range Facilities Plan<\/a>\u00a0that came forward at last week’s Board meeting. The work done to date is truly impressive and monumental. This week our Board reached the next milestone in this process and\u00a0unanimously decided to add to the November ballot<\/a>\u00a0an opportunity for the Fremont community to vote on a general obligation bond to support facility improvements in our district’s schools.<\/p>\r\n Another notable effort in the coming year will be engaging our staff and community in a\u00a0comprehensive process to balance our budget for the 2025-2026 school year<\/a>. I am eager to engage in all the work ahead to help build toward a better future for our students, staff, and families. Seats will not be held for students on extended vacations or other optional activities, whether or not the school is notified.
