{"id":190,"date":"2023-05-08T15:39:10","date_gmt":"2023-05-08T15:39:10","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/fusd.dev.apppresser.com\/niles\/medication-taken-at-school\/"},"modified":"2023-09-13T11:27:00","modified_gmt":"2023-09-13T18:27:00","slug":"medication-taken-at-school","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/fremontunified.org\/niles\/about\/policies\/medication-taken-at-school\/","title":{"rendered":"Medication Taken at School"},"content":{"rendered":"\n\n\t<p>The requirements listed below must be met prior to school personnel dispensing medications:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>ALL medications must be kept in the office, not in the student&#8217;s possession.<\/li>\n<li>Medication that is kept in the office for the student requires a medical form signed by the parent and physician.\u00a0 This form is required for over-the-counter drugs, including cough drops.<\/li>\n<li>All prescription and over-the-counter medicine must be in their original container (i.e., the bottle from the pharmacy) and have the student&#8217;s name printed on the label.<\/li>\n<li>Medical forms may be obtained from the school office or by <a href=\"https:\/\/fremontunified.org\/about\/instructional-services\/student-support-services\/health-services-overview\/health-forms-medication\/\" target=\"_self\" rel=\"noopener\">Form D under Supplemental Forms<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>School personnel will not dispense medication to students if the child&#8217;s parent has failed to abide by the aforementioned regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The requirements listed below must be met prior to school personnel dispensing medications: ALL medications must be kept in the office, not in the student&#8217;s possession.
