Dear Fremont Unified Community,

Last evening John Muragu was named Fremont Unified’s 2024 Teacher of the Year! Mr. Muragu is a teacher at Washington High School.

Congratulations to all nominees and our outstanding finalists: Karli Valdez from Brier Elementary School, Renee Smith from Glenmoor Elementary School, Melissa Sides from Patterson Elementary School, Kathy Fields from Centerville Middle School, Kevin Salladay from Thornton Middle School, Belinda Musto from Robertson
High School, and Adrianna Herrera from Fremont Adult & Continuing Education. Click here to watch a video celebrating all of our 2024 Teacher of the Year nominees. Thank you to everyone who participated in the nomination and selection process, including our Teacher of the Year committee members, for their time and dedication to honoring our educators.

This week we hosted community conversations with our staff, families and community as we plan for future facilities needs and work hard to ensure that all Fremont Unified students have access to the
same state-of-the-art education facilities that other students in Alameda County already have. If you haven’t done so already, please click here to provide YOUR priorities by April 7!

Mark your calendars! Please consider attending one or more of these events and connecting these opportunities to others:
