Science is a\u00a0 course that provides training in the basic skills of investigation and experimentation. \u00a0In the seventh grade the curriculum covers cell biology, evolution, genetics, structure and function of living systems, and earth and life history. \u00a0In the eighth grade the focus is on physical science with the standards covering motion, forces, structure of matter, earth in the solar system, reactions, chemistry of living systems, the periodic table, density, and buoyancy. Students will be reading and writing their ideas, opinions, or personal experiences as they pertain to the material that is read, discussed, and probed in class.<\/p>\n
