October 4, 2024<\/p>\r\n

Schools will make any needed modifications to minimize the impact of the heat on students and staff.<\/p>\r\n

After-school activities\/sports will be modified as appropriate, any specific information will come from individual schools if needed.<\/p>\r\n

Please remind students to hydrate often, avoid extended exposure to sun and heat, and alert an adult if they do not feel well.<\/p>\r\nWe will continue to monitor the temperature and local air quality, and will modify activities in alignment with California Department of Public Health’s Guidance for Schools on Sports and Strenuous Activities During Extreme Heat<\/a>,
the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF)
Extreme Heat and Air Quality Policy<\/a>, and the Bay Area Air Quality Management District’s School Air Quality Activity Recommendations<\/a>.\r\n

Current information will be posted to our website<\/a>, and the District and\/or sites will send further communication if any action is needed.<\/p>\r\n
