In the academy, we create a close family-like atmosphere, integrating academic and career technical education, as well as establishing partnerships with the professional and creative community.\u00a0Each\u00a0\u00a0year\u00a0 students have at least two classes together\u00a0\u00a0 &#8211; ART, ENGLISH and HISTORY (and 10th grade Biology).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Key components of the Academy model are:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>INTERDISCIPLINARY CURRICULUM<\/strong>\u00a0focused on a career theme (Multimedia\/Art\/Design) and coordinated with related academic classes.<\/p>\n<p><strong>VOLUNTARY<\/strong>\u00a0student selection process that identifies interested ninth graders.
