Community Forum Meeting at Walters 11/7

Dear Walters Middle School Community,

I thank the many of you who have reached out to Board Trustees and District leadership in recent days to communicate concerns and advocate for changes at Walters Middle School. While we are reviewing each message and responding as quickly as possible, I’m reaching out to the broader community to ensure each of you is receiving the same information and is aware of an upcoming opportunity to bring your concerns, ideas and questions to a community forum. 

The middle school conversion project at Walters was a success by many measures, but we acknowledge it did not have the same expansions of scope and budget as the other middle schools. We would like to review the needs identified by community members, listen to your concerns, and reflect on how we can move forward with a shared goal of meeting the needs of students and staff. 

Please join us for a discussion forum on Tuesday, November 7 at 6pm in the Walters gym to receive information and provide feedback to District staff. 

We look forward to a productive conversation about the priorities of the school community, and working together to meet student needs.
