Hey, Mustangs! Your Kindness Quote of the Day is: “Carry out a random act of kindness, with no expectation of reward, safe in the knowledge that one day someone might do the same for you.” — Princess Diana
Get Kindness Stickers today during Lunch!
We have over 175 nominees so far demonstrating a whole lot of kindness at Centerville. Our first Kindness Award winners for this school year are Kayla Vargas, Chris Fortune, and Edwin Lopez. They helped out their friends, teachers, and others around them to create a little more kindness here at school. Keep it up Mustangs and we will have more winners next week!
This is a reminder for you to stop by the colorful Tribute Tree that has been created in the D-wing for Ms. Brown. You can add a memory you have with her on a tag, or simply write a word or two that reminds you of her, and hang them from the tree. Stop by this week DURING LUNCH, to add your message to the tree. The last day to add your memories will be Friday at Lunch.
The Wellness Center will be closed today, Wednesday October 8th.
Hey Lego-loving Mustangs! The Centerville Bricks and Mini Figs Building Room is open today at lunch! Join us in H132 to build and display your Lego creations! Cost to enter is 3 Mustang Bucks. You can bring your lunch and eat while you play. We will provide the Legos.
Spanish Club meets today in H121 during lunch. Get homework help, play games that promote the Spanish language, and enjoy a fun, safe space. Open to ALL students! If you have any questions, reach out to Mr. Macias. ¡Gracias, Mustangs!
Do you like having fun? Goofing off and comedy? Join Comedy Club! We meet every Thursday after school at G101. First Come First Serve, we close the doors after 30 people. The first meeting is tomorrow after school! See you there!
Attention all intramural sports participants!!
Be sure to check the lists on the gym windows and find your name under the sport you are signed up for. Check in for attendance with the teacher when you arrive for the activity each week.
Boys Basketball is at lunch in the Gym. Remember to quickly bring your lunch to the Gym. Play begins immediately.
Tennis A is right after school on the new tennis court. Be sure to wear your PE clothes and tennis shoes. No running shoes please – they leave marks on the court. Archery A is on tonight in the Gym at 7:30 pm.
Hey Mustangs!
Did you know that this week from October 5-11th is Banned Books Week? Banned Books Week is an annual event that spotlights the freedom to read and draws attention to the harms of censorship. Come on by the Library and explore our display of books that have been challenged or banned in other states. Post-it’s with the reasons why they were challenged are attached. Feel free to check out any of the books and recognize that the right to read belongs to all of us!
HAVE A GREAT DAY MUSTANGS!
