Hey Mustangs, we had some amazing entries for the “How I take care of my mental health” art contest to celebrate World Mental Health Day. It was a hard decision but here are the top 3 winners. In 3rd place, we have Mason Liu. In 2nd place, we have Dahlia Shaw. And drumroll please, the first place winner is Colleen Jung! Winners, and everyone who submitted an entry, please stop by the Wellness Center today to receive your prize.
Hey, Mustangs! Your Kindness Quote of the Day is: “There are two ways of spreading light: to be the candle or the mirror that reflects it.” — Edith Wharton.
Your Kindness Activity today is Bingo during Lunch in the Quad.
Today is the last day for you to add a memory of Ms. Brown to her special Tribute Tree. Stop by AT LUNCH if you haven’t yet done so. Her family will be coming by school tomorrow to see the tree. It will be so nice for them to see all the loving messages we have left about Ms. Brown.
Attention all intramural sports participants!!
Be sure to check the lists on the gym windows and find your name under the sport you are signed up for. Check in for attendance with the teacher when you arrive for the activity each week.
Badminton will be in the Gym today after school at 2:45. Reminder to make sure you wear tennis shoes and bring your racquet.
Calling all cookie lovers. Help fundraise for Food and You Culinary class. Cookie boxes will be sold after school the week of Halloween. Please preorder your selection of cookies before we are all sold out. Students in the Foods and You class would love to sell you our special cookie boxes. See Dr. Ogden in H208 if you would like to order cookies. Happy Decorating!
Hey Mustangs!
Did you know that this week from October 5-11th is Banned Books Week? Banned Books Week is an annual event that spotlights the freedom to read and draws attention to the harms of censorship. Come on by the Library and explore our display of books that have been challenged or banned in other states. Post-it’s with the reasons why they were challenged are attached. Feel free to check out any of the books and recognize that the right to read belongs to all of us!
One last note – The office will close immediately after school today for a staff meeting.
HAVE A GREAT DAY MUSTANGS!
