The end of the school year is almost here! This means there will be awesome end of the year activities coming up, better weather, and the restricted list. The restricted list is the list of students who will not be eligible to participate in the exciting, upcoming activities. How do you get on the restricted list? Any student who is:
Tardy eight or more times
Assigned lunch and/or after school detention eight or more times
Receives more than three RC referrals
Receives three student discipline referrals to the assistant principal
Any student who is suspended on or off campus for a partial or full day
These students will be placed on the restricted list starting now through the end of the school year. The restricted list students lose the opportunity to participate in one or more upcoming activities. The good news is this is progressive and you can earn the privilege to attend the next special event if you are on the restricted list by following the school Matrix: be Respectful, be Responsible, and be Safe. Ms. Morales or Mr. Bassette can answer any questions you may have.

Thursday, April 23rd, is Take Action for Libraries day.  It is a day to rally advocates to support libraries by contacting their political representatives or giving to libraries with their time or finances. With federal funding for public libraries being slashed and a bill in the House of Representatives with wording vague enough to ban certain books nationwide, it is important now more than ever to advocate for libraries and your right to read.   If you’d like to know more, come by the library to see some recent stats on book censorship!
Don’t forget that you could be a winner of a poster if you happen to check out a pre-selected book!  There’s no way to know until you check out, so come and try your luck today!

HAVE A GREAT DAY MUSTANGS!
