VOTING:  Today is voting day for next year's ASB officers. 7th graders will vote during the history classes. You make only 1 mark on the ballot for the one person you most want to be an officer. Good luck to all candidates!

 

Team STYT is hosting their annual Symbiosis youth summit, This year's theme is "everyBODY". The theme focuses on the importance of inclusion and acceptance of all bodies and identities, and how to support yourselves and each other. They will be hosting a variety of workshops on body image, healthy relationships, LGBTQ+ identities, mental health, and intersecting topics. 

This free event takes place during Mental Health Awareness Month, on Saturday May 14th from 10am-4pm at Mission Valley ROP in Fremont. If you would like to learn more and register for this event, please see Ms. Denarola in A1. 

 

Library Book Swap Bring middle school level books from home to the library and get credit to exchange them with other books.  Accepting donations now, swap will be during flex starting Monday May 23

 

 

Dark Horse Film Festival: The Dark Horse Film Festival will be held at lunch this Friday in room G1. You must have a ticket. Only 30 students will be allowed in. Admission is first come first serve. Overflow will be admitted the following Friday.

 

Attention 8th graders:  Only 5 spots left for the Great America trip.  Last day to claim one of those spots is Wednesday, May 11th.  Again, the cost is $50, or $15 if you already have a season pass.

 

SBAC (CAASPP) Testing:   Testing is here!  We will be on ‘Block Schedule’ Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Fridays until May 17th.    School will still be dismissed at 2:35 PM each day.  Reminders, please eat a good breakfast, arrive on time to school and be well rested. 

 

 

Library:  There are lots of overdue library books from past months.  Please return them so others may borrow them.
