This is a reminder for you to stop by the colorful Tribute Tree that has been created in the D-wing for Ms. Brown. You can add a memory you have with her on a tag, or simply write a word or two that reminds you of her, and hang them from the tree. Stop by this week during lunch, or before or after school, to add your message to the tree. It is filling up with so many memories and looks absolutely stunning!
Today is the final day of the art contest for World Mental Health Day. Turn your piece of art into the Wellness Center by the end of the day for your chance to win a prize. The winners will be announced on Friday morning.

Hey Mustangs!
Did you know that this week from October 5-11th is Banned Books Week? Banned Books Week is an annual event that spotlights the freedom to read and draws attention to the harms of censorship. Come on by the Library and explore our display of books that have been challenged or banned in other states. Post-it’s with the reasons why they were challenged are attached. Feel free to check out any of the books and recognize that the right to read belongs to all of us!
Join Centerville for International Walk and Roll to School Day tomorrow, October 8th! We will celebrate our school spirit, our health, and the environment with the Alameda County Safe Routes to Schools program. This year, our school will celebrate when you arrive at school. There will be three designated check in stations: one in the office, one by the bike racks, and one by Sutton Loop. With your family and friends, you can participate by: Taking a walk, or riding a bike, skateboard, or scooter. Each student who participates at these stations has the opportunity to win a fun prize.
