Mustangs- Here is your daily bulletin for: Thursday, May 2, 2024
The Wellness Center will be closed today Thursday, May 2nd, and Friday, May 3rd.
 
The library will be closed before school and at lunch on Friday. 
 
Attention 7th graders!  This is your last week to turn in your WEB application and submit your project!   Please be sure to turn in your applications to Ms Denarola in F 105 by Friday, May 3rd.
 
Don’t forget to ‘high-5’ your Teachers today for Teacher Appreciation Week.
Tomorrow, Friday, please write a kind note to your teacher! 
 
It is officially May which means the Library needs to begin collecting your Library books to begin inventory.  PLEASE HELP BY RETURNING ALL YOUR BOOKS BY MAY 17TH!
 
This is campaign week for Washington High officers.  Candidates can post their signs on the back of the F wing.  You may post onto the wall or window.  Each candidate may have only 1 poster.
 
Attention all 8th graders, are you interested in playing football at Washington High School next year? 
Washington’s Head football coach will be at Centerville May 2nd (today) during FLEX time. Please sign up for Mr. Green’s flex period on May 2nd. This is your chance to get your questions answered! Sign up today !
 
Attention students, the Mustang store will be open only ONE more time this school year: Friday, May 10th. Make sure to come by and spend those hard-earned Mustang bucks!
 
8th graders:  There are still 5 seats remaining for the Great America trip.  If you want to go, get your permission slip and payment to Mrs. Fields in F106 as soon as possible.
 
 
Faculty Follies Show is going to be awesome.  Staff favorites like Begher, Pierce and Rhodes will be performing live music.  Stark, Torrisi, Fields, Denarola, Sabharwal and more will be dancing to popular favorites.    All of your administrators and some of your counselors have amazing and hilarious acts.  Taylor Swifter will make an appearance too.  Don’t miss out…get your ticket today!  Cost is $10 in the office…that is cheaper than bowling or going to the movies AND more fun!
 
Dark Horse Film Festival: Every dark horse has a story to tell. How will you tell yours? The Dark Horse Film Festival celebrates filmmakers with all levels of experience. Films can be stories told through photographs, animation, live action, music videos, documentaries, documentaries… anything goes. Submissions are due by May 15, 2024. Spring is here!  This means there will be awesome end of the year activities coming up, better weather, and the restricted list .  The restricted list is the list of student who will not be eligible to participate in the exciting, upcoming activities.  How do you get on the restricted list?  Any student who is:

• Tardy eight or more times
• Assigned lunch and/or after school detention eight or more times
• Receives more than three RC referrals
• Receives three student discipline referrals to the assistant principal
• Any student who is suspended on or off campus for a partial or full day

These students will be placed on the restricted list starting on March 18th through the end of the school year.  The restricted list students lose the opportunity to participate in one or more upcoming activities.  The good news is this is progressive and you can earn the privilege to attend the next special event if you are on the restricted list by following the three R’s (be Respectful, be Responsible and be Ready to learn).  Ms Grimmer or Mr. Bassette can answer any questions you may have.
