Happy Red Ribbon Week, Mustangs! Come celebrate the week with Merit Club, by buying a Red Ribbon Necklace. In addition to the festive necklace and delicious candies, you might also win a prize. About 20% of all the necklaces are prize winners. Come check out the fun in F-106 at lunchtime. Cost is only $1. Necklaces will be sold all week or until we run out.

Attention Centerville Mustangs: Halloween is upon us which means dressing up at school. Under no circumstances will masks that cover the entire face, fake gore and/or blood, or fake weapons be permitted on campus. Halloween Dance Tickets Today is the last day to get a ticket for the Halloween Dane, which is tomorrow from 3 to 5 PM. Cost is $6, but ASB members get theirs free with their processed ASB ID. All students must have their ID card to get a ticket. NO TICKETS WILL BE SOLD ON THE DAY OF THE DANCE. Tickets are sold in F 106 during lunch and after school until 3:15. ALL TICKETS MUST BE SIGNED BY PARENT OR GUARDIAN BEFORE COMING TO THE DANCE.

Attention Centerville Mustangs: Halloween is upon us which means dressing up at school. Hey Mustangs! The Wellness Center is now open periods 1-6 and lunchtime every day to support your mental health needs. You can swing by for up to 10 minutes between classes or get your teacher’s permission during class if you need a short break or a time to self regulate. There will be a counselor in the wellness center all day long. We will only be closed before and after school and at flex. At lunchtime, we will still be open for games and activities like always, and the school store will still be open at lunch on Fridays.

Did you know that: According to the latest U.S. Census data, the Hispanic or Latin population hit 62.1 million — making this community the largest minority group in the country. Lastly, Anyone interested can join the school counselors in the Wellness Center during lunchtime today, tomorrow, and Thursday for a fun “flag” activity that celebrates the different Hispanic countries. There will be traditional music including salsa, bachata, and banda so feel free to come out and enjoy the vibes. Have a fantastic Tuesday Mustangs!

The first offense is a warning and progressive disciplinary action will follow on the second offense (including keeping the clothing item until the end of the school year). If you are not sure if you can wear it to school, then choose something else to wear.

Come one, come all to Centerville's Open Mic Information Session: Friday September 15 at lunch in G101, the Drama Room. The information session will focus on Centerville’s open mic events throughout the school year, and how students can sign up for open mic acts. Currently, open mic events will include student led acts in the form of music, poetry, dance, stand-up comedy, etc.

Makeup pictures will be TODAY, September 15th during your PE class. Check in with your PE teacher and then head to the stage in the gym to get your photo taken. If you missed Maze Day, make sure that you go to get your picture taken and receive your ID card. If you have purchased ASB, give the photographer the receipt.
Hispanic Heritage Month which is recognized from September 15 - October 15 is an annual celebration in the United States that honors the history, culture, and contributions of Americans whose ancestry can be traced to 20 countries and one territory — which includes Mexico, Central and South America, the Caribbean, and Spain.
September 15th was chosen as the kickoff date since it coincides with the Independence Day celebrations of five countries (Costa Rica, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, and Nicaragua), followed by Mexico on September 16th, Chile on the 18th, and Belize on the 21st.
During this month, we will have different activities in the wellness center hosted by our amazing school counselors so stay tuned for more information on those events early next week!

FDA is an afterschool program led by high school students who teach debate, public speaking, and critical thinking skills to passionate middle school and elementary school aged children. ASB memberships can still be purchased in F-106 before or after school. Your membership includes 2 free dance tickets, some fall carnival tickets, and participation in member only events.
Last day to purchase your membership will be Sept. 14th. Cost is only $10. You may pick up a form in F-106 or the front office.
Makeup pictures will be this Friday, September 15th during your PE class. Check in with your PE teacher and then head to the stage in the gym to get your photo taken.
