Are you interested in being a School Site Council representative?  This year we are looking for one 7th Grade School Site Council representative.  

The School Site Council…

  • develops the yearly School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA) to help students that are struggling.
  • recommends the plan including a budget to the school board. 
  • has the on-going responsibility to determine the effectiveness of Centerville’s programs.
  • helps to make Centerville a better school.  

Students need to be voted in so if you're interested on being on the ballot, pick up information in the front office.  Forms must be returned TODAY.

Centerville Mustangs- You will now need to scan your ID to receive your lunch. Please have your ID's ready to be scanned to ensure the line runs smoothly. If you do not have your ID, which you should, you can also punch in your student number.

 

October Kindness Month, kindness club members will be handing out kindness bucks to students who demonstrate kindness to others.  You may spend these at the mustang store on Friday. 

 

AMC 8:  Math students, the American Math Competition is coming.  The AMC8 is a nationwide algebra level math competition.  If you would like to participate, pick up a registration form from your math teacher OR get one from F-106.  Deadline to register is October 11th.  Cost is $8.00

 

‘Kindness’ Art Competition:  Leadership and WEB are hosting a Kindness Art Competition. We want you to create a digital or physical piece of art that represents what kindness means to you. Submissions are due to Ms. Denarola in F105 by October 26th. Winner will be announced at the end of the month. 

Enter the library's Great Pumpkin contest!  Entry forms are available in the library. Decorate a pumpkin shape into your favorite book character. Turn in by Oct 31 to win prizes.

 

Reflections is back!  This PTSA contest might be for you.  There are all sorts of categories that might interest you: music, literature, photography, dance, film, visual arts, and a special category called, "Special Artist."  If you are interested, check out the bulletin boards at F106 and also in the gym windows.  Registration forms may be found in F-106.  Deadline for submitting an entry is Oct 14th, 3 PM.  There are lots of categories, and you may compete in any or all of them, but you may only submit 1 entry per category.  Get inspired by this year’s theme:  SHOW YOUR VOICE, and have fun!  Submissions may be made in person (which is preferred) or online.  See the flyer for details regarding online submissions.

Boys Basketball Tryouts:  Tryouts for 8th graders will be held on October 7th from 4 PM until 6PM.   Tryouts for 7th graders will be held on October 14th from 4 PM until 6 PM
