Hopkins Principal’s Newsletter 10/19/2025
October 20, 2025
Dear Hopkins Families,
861 students enjoyed Hawk-o-Lantern festivities at our Social last Friday. We are thankful for all of the parent volunteers, staff members, ASB & leadership student leaders, and coordinator/assistant principal Mrs. Jennifer Moore for a fun and spirited afternoon!
Quarter 1 Grades on Aeries: Please take a look at your child’s Quarter 1 grades on Aeries and communicate questions, concerns, and feedback directly with your child’s teachers. We all strive for the same goal together — helping your child thrive. Direct communication is key to this important collaboration.
Tissue Box Donations Needed: With weather changes, we are seeing that classrooms need more tissue boxes on hand for students sniffling and not feeling well. If you are able to donate, please bring tissue boxes to our Main Office so we can distribute to teachers. Thank you!
Money Exchanges & Valuables at School: Without administrators’ prior approval, students cannot sell, buy, collect money, or promote paid programs to other students at school. We also ask families to make sure students are not bring valuable or sentimental items such as Labubus or Pokemon Cards to school. We do not have the resources to investigate missing Labubus or Pokemons.Â
Lost & Found: Our Lost & Found area is located by the front gate between our MUR and Main Office. Students can find lost clothing items, water bottles, hats, helmets, umbrellas, and lunch boxes. Smaller items such as watches, jewelry, ID cards will be housed in our Main Office if someone turns them in. Please check our Lost & Found and reclaim your items by the end of this month. All items remaining will be donated or discarded after 10/31/2025.Â
Parent-Teacher-Student Conferences: If you have concerns about your students’ progress in a classroom, thank you for reaching out directly with the teacher to schedule a conference time.Â
