Dear Hopkins Families
Special shout-out to our Counselors Ms. Kim, Ms. Moore, and Ms. Te for coordinating a very meaningful family presentation last week, with panelists that included a family wellness counselor and current MSJHS students to share what middle school parents/guardians could do to help students maintain balance between academic and social-emotional health! Here is a summary of the Parent Presentation. Thank you to our more than 40 families who attended the event!
PFA Zoom Meeting: Please join our PFA’s December Zoom meeting on Wednesday, 12/10, 7 PM.
Black History Month Planning Team: Students, if you would like to join a student team to create resources and educational material for our Hopkins community to deepen our understanding and inclusivity, please email me ([email protected]) by Friday, 12/19. We will start meeting during Read period in January to work on this initiative together.
Spring 2026 Schedule Change Requests: Students may submit schedule change requests for 2nd semester using this form. We are not able to guarantee a schedule change, but we will do our best to accommodate your request. Schedule changes will not be accepted during Winter Break.

- Boys Basketball @ Walters: Monday, 12/8, 3-5 PM — student spectators must attend with a guardian in away games.
- Boys Basketball @ Thornton: Tuesday, 12/9, 3-5 PM — student spectators must attend with a guardian in away games.
- PFA Zoom Meeting: Wednesday, 12/10, 7 PM
- Choir Concert: Monday, 12/15, 7 PM @ Ohlone College Smith Center
- Boys Basketball vs. Centerville: Tuesday, 12/16, 3-5 PM @ Gym
- Orchestra Concert: Tuesday, 12/16, 6:30-8 PM @ MUR
- Band Concert: Wednesday, 12/17, 6:30-8 PM @ MUR
- Boys Basketball @ Horner: Thursday, 12/18, 3-5 PM — student spectators must attend with a guardian in away games.

End-of-Semester Finals Bell Schedule: Thursday, 12/18, and Friday, 12/19 — school ends@ 12:48 PM. AC Transit buses still run at their regular times; please make alternative pickup arrangements.
