Hopkins Principal’s Newsletter 11/9/2025
November 9, 2025
Dear Hopkins Families,
On Friday, 11/7, our community came together to celebrate Día de Los Muertos, Diwali, and student entrepreneurship in our Fall Festival and Makers Market. Much gratitude goes to PFA Board Leaders, parent and student volunteers for making this possible! Thank you also to all of our students, staff, and family members who participated in this event. We lift each other up when we come together in unity.
This Week’s Schedule:
Coffee with Admin on Friday, November 14, 9-10 AM @ Wellness Room: Families from our August meeting enjoyed the gathering and requested more. In our November Coffee with Admin, we will focus on student behavior, looking specifically at Hopkins’ student behavior data from recent years, discuss factors that determine student choices and strategies for strengthening students’ helpfulness and empathy from both home and school efforts. Spanish and Mandarin interpreters will be present.
Black Parent Union Zoom Meeting – Join Us! Our next Black Parent Union meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 19 at 7:00 pm via zoom. This is an affinity space for parents and caregivers of students who identify as Black to connect, share, and collaborate to support our students and community. If you’re interested in being part of this group, please fill out our Interest Form so we can keep you in the loop with upcoming meetings and opportunities. If you have any questions, reach out to Chasmin at [email protected] or Roderick at [email protected]. We hope to see you there!
FUSD’s Fundraiser for 3D Printing Challenge & Young Innovator STEM Challenge:

Bicycle/Scooter/Skateboard Safety: Remember to lock your mode of transportation after parking it in our fenced lots. Students must walk their wheels when they are on our campus pavements.
