Hopkins Principal’s Newsletter 8/1/2025
August 19, 2025
Dear Hopkins Families,
We are thrilled to be welcoming students to campus next week on Maze Days. Please see below for important information that helps you prepare for the start of this school year:Â
Family Welcome Webinar: Thank you to those who were able to attend on Thursday, 7/31. For a recording of the webinar, please click here(Passcode: Duz$A=G0). Maze Days: Students will submit documents necessary from the summer mailer, take ID photos, and pick up schedules. Because space is limited, we ask that only one parent/guardian attends with your child. Parent attendance is not mandatory if your child is able to come by themselves.Â
Girls Volleyball Coach: We are currently looking to hire for this paid position ($1424 for the season). Please see practice and game schedule here. Interested candidates should email a cover letter and resume to me ([email protected]) by Wednesday, 8/6.Â
Volunteers Needed:With close to 1450 students, we are asking parents/guardians to help with before/after school traffic and lunchtime supervision. Your presence helps keep all of our kids safe. Please complete the form(s) below if you are able to lend a hand:
School Site Council Parent Representatives: We are looking for one parent/guardian representative for each grade level (6th, 7th, and 8th) to join our School Site Council. This is an important role that meets with representatives of the Hopkins community (staff, parents/guardians, and students) to look at school progress and decide how we use resources to improve our school. Representatives will be selected by their grade level parents/guardians through a voting process. If you are interested, please submit applications by Friday, 8/15.Â
Athletic Teams: Please see our website link for information regarding each sports season and required forms to participate.Â
Office Hours: Our Main Office will be open to the public on Wednesday, August 6, with regular hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Our office will be closed shortly at the following times for staff training:
