Dear Hopkins Families,

Thank you to the parents/guardians who joined our Coffee with Administrators to share thoughts on how we support our students together and network to build a stronger community. We hear your feedback of wanting more opportunities like this and will add more Coffee with Administrators dates throughout the year. Here are the slides that centered our dialogue on Friday, 8/29. 

Voting for School Site Council Parent/Guardian Representatives: Parents/guardians, please remember to cast your vote to select your grade-level representative by the end of today (9/1). 

Girls Volleyball Tryouts @ MUR: 

• Tryout Schedule: 
  • Tuesday, 9/2, 2:40-4:40 PM – 8th grade 1st cut
  • Wednesday, 9/3, 1:30-3:30 PM – 7th grade 1st cut
  • Thursday, 9/4, 2:40-4:40 PM – 6th grade 1st cut 
  • Friday, 9/5, 2:40-4:40 PM – 6th-8th grade, 2nd cut
• You must turn in a completed Tryout Permission Form to the Main Office before your tryout time. Students can pick up a hard copy from our Office.

Drama Club Auditions: Come audition for our stage performance on Tuesdays, 9/2, 9/9, and 9/16, during lunch @ Room B112. Email Ms. Boteilho ([email protected]) if you have any questions. 

Talent Show Auditions: We know that Hopkins’ got talents! Come audition on Tuesday, 9/16, 2:30-3:30 PM @ MUR. Email Ms. Boteilho ([email protected]) if you have any questions. 

After-School Care @ Hopkins: Our district’s Expanded Learning Opportunities Programs (ELO-P) team is working on bringing after-school care to Hopkins for 6th graders. Extracurricular Opportunities: 

• Fremont Warrior Wrestling Club: Two locations this fall (American HS and Kennedy HS) will be running girls-only practices, including a beginner grades 6-12 class at American, and intermediate/advanced grades 6-12 class at both American and Kennedy.
