The following clubs at Horner meet during lunch. Each student must have a hall pass in order to attend the meetings.

  • Book
    • To provide a place for students to bring books of a topic that was voted on by club members and discuss them. We will have bi-weekly meetings where we read, talk and vote on book topics.

  • Bollywood Dance
    • To put together Bollywood dances to showcase for Horner.

    • To gather students as a group to learn about investments and business strategies. They will also learn how to pick stocks and how businesses make profit and how they work.

    • To teach students about chess and for them to play while having fun. This club will have a fun and safe environment for all members.

    • To expose students to several different writing techniques and styles. They will also learn how to collaborate as a team when working on our year long book project.

    • To learn new and current topics, while also having fun. Every meeting we will share the topic and resources to learn from and the following week we will host a Kahoot.

    • To meet and do challenges in groups which help students with problem solving, coming to a solution in a short time and team work.

  • Lego Robotics
    • To teach students basic robotics. They will use their knowledge to create robots that will be coded to perform in club challenges. This club will prepare students for competitions outside of school.

    • To expose students to Latin culture through music, dance, food, games, and language. They will get to experience the work that is put into organizing and running a variety of events. Some events include Dia de Los Muertos, Ritmo Latino, Cinco De Mayo, and fundraisers.

    • To provide medical education for middle schoolers to learn. Inspire young minds to explore the vast field of medicine. Explore various fields of medicine and learn about first aid.
