Transfer Information & Deadlines

2024 - 2025 CONTINUING Student Timeline

Grades K - 12

**Students currently enrolled in Fremont Unified do not need to re-enroll each year. Your child will be “rolled up” to the next grade automatically.

Secondary: Information will be sent home along with the school’s course selection sheet.

Continuing Intra-District Transfer Period Opens

Due February, available January for students attending a school based on an approved Intra-district transfer and would like to remain at that school. A link to the Continuing Intra-District Transfer will be emailed to families that qualify.

Inter-District Transfer Requests Accepted (for non-Fremont residents who want to enroll in FUSD. Process begins in the district you reside in.)

Per County timeline, the Inter-District Transfer application period opens March. Fremont Unified will not process and/or approve any transfers until after Fremont students are placed. (Note: this could be after school starts in the fall.)

Alameda County opens inter-district timelines in March.

Intra-District Transfer Period Opens (from one Fremont school to another Fremont school)

Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis. Acceptance is based on available space after home school students are placed. (Note: this could be after school starts in the fall.)

April - May  (exact end date to be determined based on the school calendar.)
