The California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) is the state academic testing program. CAASPP provides valuable information to monitor student progress and ensure all students leave high school ready for college and career. The CAASPP administration includes:
Smarter Balanced Summative Assessments (SBAC)
California Alternate Assessments (CAAs), including the CAA for Science
California Science Test (CAST)
CAASPP 2025 Testing Window: April 28 - May 19, 2025
Additionally, all students identified as MLL (MultiLingual Learner) will take the ELPAC test to assess their progress in English. Students take this test each year until they are reclassified as English Fluent Proficient. ELPAC resources, including practice tests, are available online.
