BROOKVALE – FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!
Welcome Back, Brookvale Families!
The first day of school is WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14th and we are looking forward to seeing you all! Please remember that the first bell rings at 8:10AM and school starts at 8:15AM. It will be a Minimum Day schedule for the first 3 days of school (August 14-16th):
TK: 8:15AM – 11:35AM
KINDER: 8:15AM – 11:41AM
GRADE 1 – 5: 8:15AM – 1:15PM
*Pick Up and Drop Off:
Come Early! Brookvale is located right behind American High School and there will be a lot of traffic this week. Please plan to leave extra early.
All parents should park on Nicolet or next door in the Los Cerritos parking lot and walk their student to the front of the school. The school loop is reserved for staff and school buses only.
Parents are welcome to walk to their student’s classroom on August 14, 15, 16th. Starting on Monday, August 19th students will walk independently to their classroom and parents will stay in front of the school behind the cones. We appreciate your cooperation as this is a safety measure for the staff and students.

*Teacher Assignments:
Wondering who your child’s teacher will be? Login to the Aeries Parent Portal: https://fremontusd.aeries.net/student/LoginParent.aspx. Click on “Classes” under the hamburger menu, then click on “Classes” again. Your child’s teacher and room number should be displayed. Have more than one child? Toggle between your children by clicking your child’s name at the top. A drop down menu will appear with your other children’s names.
*Attendance:
All students are expected to be in attendance on the first day of school or risk being dropped from enrollment. Parents must notify the school that their child is absent in order to keep their enrollment at FUSD. Enrollment will not be held for students on extended vacations or other optional activities, whether or not the school is notified.

*School Meals:
Free breakfast and lunch will be available for free to all students again this year. Please let your classroom teacher know if you would like to receive a meal.

Come join Mrs. Elliott for a Meet & Greet on Friday morning! Some updated information on upcoming events will be discussed and PTA will be around to answer any questions.
*Back to School Night – Tuesday, August 27th, 5:30 – 6:30pm (PARENTS ONLY)
