COMMUNITY CHAT:  APRIL 3

Brookvale Elementary is hosting a Community Chat on April 3rd from 8:30am – 9:30am in the MUR.  Come hear from our Community Liaisons regarding Anxiety in Youth and Children.

ALAMEDA COUNTY BIKE MOBILE:  APRIL 11

The Alameda County Bike Mobile is returning to Brookvale.  Friday, April 11th from 2:45 – 5:15 pm.  Come with your bike. Bike repairs:  flat tires, brakes, shifters and bike education is available.  Space is limited.  First come, first served.  Bike helmets will be given out to those that participate while supplies last.


ELAC MEETING:  APRIL 15

Our next English Language Advisory Committee meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, April 15th from 3 – 4 pm.  The meeting will be held via zoom.

SPRING BREAK:  APRIL 18 – APRIL 25

Spring break is from April 18 – April 25.  There is no school for students during this time.  School will resume on Money, April 28th

CAASPP TESTING

Our 3-6 grade students have started the state mandated testing (CAASPP).  All classrooms continue to be busy learning about a vast array of topics.   It is important that all students arrive at class on time each day. We appreciate you not scheduling appointments during class time or planning vacation/out of town trips for the duration of this testing window.



ELPAC TESTING: FEBRUARY 1 – MAY 24

All students identified as MLL (MultiLingual Learner) will take the ELPAC test to provide data about their progress in English. Students take this test every year until they are reclassified as English Fluent Proficient. ELPAC resources, including practice tests, are available online. Our testing window will take place between February and May.


SBAC TESTING

Grades 3-6 students will be participating in SBAC Testing this month. Parents & Guardians, please make sure your students are well-rested, eat a nutritious breakfast, and arrive at school before the line-up bell.

Testing Dates:

3rd Grade:  May 5 – May 16 

4th Grade:  April 8 – May 5 

5th Grade:  April 8 – May 6

MOVING? 

If you move to another Fremont neighborhood, please complete the online Change of Residency (COR) form and bring it to the Brookvale office  to ensure your child gets enrolled in their new school (required within 5 days of your move  BP5111).   If you move OUT of Fremont, please contact the Brookvale Secretary at [email protected] for an Intent to Withdraw Form.
