Good Morning Cabrillo Families!

Campus Updates

After 17 days of intense rain across California, it looks like we can put away our snorkels and resume sunny weather. Cabrillo had some surprises when we returned to school starting with our water main. Fremont Unified School District plumbers were on site repairing the damaged water main deep into the night – work was completed by 2:00 AM! I have linked a letter from Director Tom Ekman from Maintenance, Operations, and Grounds attesting to the safety of the water. If that wasn’t enough, one of our very tall pine trees near San Pedro was uprooted by the storm and fell on the kindergarten yard in the very early morning hours. A crew came out in the morning and quickly removed the tree. We are looking forward to cutting the remaining stumps into coins to place in the grassy area near the kindergarten playground.
