The end of the 2024-25 school year is quickly approaching! We only have 52 days of school left and we still have so much to do!

I wanted to take this time to let you know about some of the growing we have been doing as a school under a new principal.

None of this positive work and changes would be possible if it were not for the support and cooperation of our amazing students, committed staff, and supportive families.

3/10: No School - Staff Development Day

3/25: SSC Safety meeting, 3:20 in Room 21

3/28: Durham PTA Association meeting. ALL are welcome! 3:00, Room 21

3/28: Durham Night Out: Dance Around the World

We are excited to introduce a new Arts Class for our students! This class allows kids to be creative and build artistic skills in a fun way.

We will be holding an in-person Durham Gear Sale on Wednesdays. Stop by to grab your Durham spirit wear and show your school pride!

Chess Class: We are all set to start a Chess Class! If a few parents can help lead the sessions, we can get started soon. Please reach out if you're interested in assisting.

Debate Class: We’re excited to start FDA Durham Elementary’s second annual debate program this year! DISCLAIMER: Because of limited bandwidth, we will be capping this year’s program at ~24-30 4th-5th grade students. Students will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis. The rest of the students will be put on a waitlist.

Register for Durham Elementary’s Fremont Debate Academy (FDA) debate program by March 12th using fremontdebateacademy.org/durham

The session dates are: 3/18 (online session), 4/1, 4/8, 4/15, 4/29, 5/6, 5/13, 5/20.
