Our first Popsicles with the Principal was a success! I truly enjoyed getting to meet the students and families that came. (4th & 5th graders, I am going to rely on you to help me out this year by being role models for our younger students!) There were so many smiling faces and the children looked like they had a great time eating several popsicles, meeting new friends, and playing on the play structures. I could not have been able to take the time to chat with all of you if it had not been for the many amazing parent and student volunteers and staff that showed up to lend me a hand. Thanks to ourDurham PTA president and board members, many families were able to purchase Durham spiritwear and learn more about PTA membership and getting involved. AND, not only did our Durham families get to meet me, the new principal, they also got to meet our new Superintendent, Erik Burmeister!
