As we move into the year 2024 and take time to reflect on the holidays, I want to express my heartfelt gratitude to our teachers, staff, students and our families for your dedication to help make Forest Park Elementary an amazing place for our students!
Thank you to the 40+ volunteers and our 1st-5th graders for packaging over 32,000 meals at our Kids Against Hunger food packaging event in December. The food will make a big difference for those less fortunate than us.
What is PBIS at our school?
We have adopted a unified set of school rules. These rules define our expectations for behavior in our school. You will see these rules posted throughout the school and your child will be learning them throughout the school year. Our unified classroom rules, found in every classroom and non-classroom setting in the school, are as follows:

As part of our PBIS process, teachers and other staff members this to increase student learning and decrease classroom disruptions and reward students with STAR Bucks. We also acknowledge students at our PBIS assemblies with a STAR or Wolverine Award as determined by the classroom teacher.

Elementary Priority Enrollment – Including TK, K, and Sibling: Application link available January 8, 2024
On January 29, 2024 the district office will be e-mailing home the annual District Reservation Form to all current students via Informed K12. This form serves two purposes. It tells the school where you intend your child to go to school for 2024-2025 and fulfills the District’s mandated annual residency verification. The deadline to return reservation forms is Friday, February 23, 2024. When you receive this form, be sure to complete it and upload the documents requested. We will not be handing out the forms in the office; you must receive respond to the email. If you do not complete this form, your child will not be placed on a class list for next fall. If you have moved please be sure to provide the office with new residency documentation so that we may update our records.

Counselor Corner
The Great Kindness Challenge is a proactive Social Emotional learning focused bullying prevention program that improves school climate and increases student engagement. Your child will be encouraged to perform as many acts of kindness as possible on school campus as well as in the community. Kindness checklist will be provided via Parent square in January.
