Hello Forest Park Families:

Thank you for another wonderful year at Forest Park. Our students have worked hard, with the guidance of their teachers to learn grade level material.  We want to wish our 5th grade students a fond farewell.  It has been a pleasure getting to know them and we look forward to hearing about what they are doing down the road.

We wish you a restful, fun-filled summer break and we look forward to seeing our students again on August 14, 2024

Your partner in education,

Denise Mapelli

CLEVER APPS
Clever apps are available for currently enrolled (23-24) students throughout the summer.  Students can use programs such as iReady, Lexia, IXL (math) along with Benchmark Universe.

Aeries Parent Portal & 2024-25 MAZE Process

Fremont Unified will transition from Infinite Campus to Aeries as our student information system for the 2024-25 school year. In July 2024, parents and guardians of students enrolled for 2024-25 will receive information to activate their Aeries Parent Portal, and will use the Portal to complete the annual MAZE process, called “Parent Data Confirmation” in Aeries.

MAZE is Fremont Unified School District’s annual data confirmation process in which parents/guardians:

  • provide required information for each enrolled student – such as emergency contacts,
  • acknowledge certain parent/guardian and student rights and responsibilities, and
  • access specific school forms/information.

Completing the MAZE process ensures your student’s school has accurate information, and allows families to view student schedules/classroom assignments and their teachers when that information is released in August.

Please look out for additional information about activating your

Aeries Parent Portal and completing the MAZE process in the

coming months.

ATTENDANCE ON THE FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL AND UNEXCUSED ABSENCES
The 2024-2025 SCHOOL YEAR STARTS ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 14, 2024.  All students are expected to report to school on the first day, Wednesday, August 14, 2024. Students who have not attended the first day of school will be dropped at the end of the first day of school. Students who are dropped will not be guaranteed a seat at the school and may have to be overloaded to other schools upon return. The only exceptions will be students who are absent due to illness. If a student is absent the first day due to illness, parents or guardians must notify the school  every day the student is absent.  Seats will not  be held for students on extended vacations or other optional activities, whether or not the school is notified. (AR5113.1). After 10 consecutive (uninterrupted) school days of unexcused absences, a student is dropped from the roster and must re-enroll at the district office. No exceptions will be made.

FUSD Policies Regarding Volunteers on Campus – CIVICORE

Volunteers who have received clearance at a school must sign in and out, must wear a visitor badge at all times, and must follow all site-specific protocols.

Volunteer Clearance –  All volunteers must submit an application and upload a govt. identification card through CiviCore  in order to receive clearance. Volunteers who have been cleared in previous years must update their application every school year.  Volunteers who are at a school under the direct supervision of a certificated employee must remain under the supervision of that employee for the duration of their visit.  Reference: California Education Code 49024  Note that after July 1st, volunteers registered in Civicore will receive a renewal email.  Forest Park would like to have you continue to volunteer when school starts on August 14, 2024, so please follow the directions and update your Civicore information.

Combo Classes for the 2024-2025 School Year
As we begin getting ready for the  2024-2025 school year it is an important time for us to reach out to you with information about the year.  Because of the growing number of students and because students don’t always neatly match the numbers of teachers at schools, “combinations”, “combos”, or “split classes” are formed to accommodate a group of students at a grade level. This is a common occurrence across Fremont Unified School District as well as the state of California and the nation. Included are common questions and concerns about combination classes for you to review. Here is the link for Combo class

YEARBOOKS
There is a limited number of yearbooks available for purchase in the office. The cost is $33. EXACT CHANGE AND CASH ONLY will be accepted.

Thank You! (3)
