HALLOWEEN PARADE
Our annual Halloween Walk About will be Thursday, October 31, at 9:00am for grades K-5. Students will walk along the sidewalk and around Frank Fisher Park.
Halloween Costumes: Please remember that the regular dress code applies to costumes. Children must be able to change into and out of their own costumes without assistance, school staff cannot assist. Weapons or other dangerous props should not be brought to school. Please be reminded we will still be conducting instruction during the remainder of the day. Your child may want to wear regular clothes under their costume so they can remove their costume for the remainder of the day.
We will not be responsible for lost costumes at school. It is best to leave extra props at home.

*****Absence Reporting*****
All absences need to be reported to the school office before 9:30 a.m. on the day of the absence. Informing the teacher does not always guarantee it will make it to the office. Many teachers do not have time to check emails during their teaching day. Please be sure to leave the reason for the absence on the absence recorder.
Extended Absences/Independent Study
You may request an Independent Study contract if you plan to miss 5-10 school days. You will receive all school work for those days. The parent must notify the school administrator of intentions to go on a trip or to be absent for other non-medical reasons at least ten (10) school days prior to the absence. Thirty (30) days is preferable to allow for the work to be prepared.
If you choose to remove your child from school without an Independent Study contract, these absences will be counted as unexcused/ truancies and you will be receiving a truancy letter. You will not receive any school work to take with you. Additionally, if your student misses more than ten (10) consecutive school days, they will be dropped from the roster and will need to be re-registered upon return, which may mean he/she will be overloaded to another school.
