Principal's Message

Mrs. Judy Nye

Welcome to Grimmer Elementary School where we strive to meet the academic, social, physical, and emotional needs of each child. We do this within a warm, safe, and child-centered environment. We believe that learning should be transferable to real-life situations, and should involve communication and interaction among students, parents, school, and the community.

As such, the diverse Grimmer School community is comprised of families from many neighborhoods in Fremont. Families choose Grimmer School for its wonderful diversity and many specialized programs. We are proud of our special programs such as our annual Arts Block Program, our K-5 Special Education Program, our Positive Behavior Interventions & Supports Program, differentiated instruction, on-site day care provided by the City of Fremont, and Healthy Start supporting community needs.

Grimmer School staff members work in Professional Learning Communities to bring a guaranteed viable curriculum to all students. They are dedicated, nurturing, and supportive of students and their families who work together to improve student achievement and focus on continual school improvement. Supplemental LCAP funding is used for additional resources and support staff to ensure success for each student. A community of lifelong learners, Grimmer not only teaches students what to learn; we teach them how to learn.

Our Mission: To inspire ALL students to learn at high levels

Our Vision: ALL students feeling supported and sharing our passion for learning in a safe and caring environment

WELCOME!
