2025/26 California Assessment of Student Performance & Progress (CAASPP) State test results in the Aeries Parent Portal

Families will soon be able to view their student’s 2025–26 California Assessment of Student Performance and Progress (CAASPP) state test results in the Aeries Parent Portal. English language arts/literacy (ELA) and mathematics score reports are expected to begin appearing in late May as they are released by the state. Science score reports are typically released later by the state and are expected to become available later this summer.

Reports will be available in Aeries as portable document format (PDF) score reports. Families may also see video score reports when available for applicable assessments. Reports are provided in multiple languages based on the home language listed in Aeries. Because score reports are released by the state on a rolling basis, some students may see reports before others. Please check back periodically for updates.

New Achievement Level Labels

Beginning with the 2025–26 school year, the California Department of Education (CDE) has updated the reporting labels used on CAASPP score reports. The test questions, format, and scoring have not changed. Only the achievement level labels and descriptions are changing, so families can still compare their student’s results to prior years.

The state made this change to help families better understand student performance and to clarify that Level 3 is not intended to represent a simple “grade-level cutoff.” All CAASPP test questions measure grade-level standards, with the four levels reflecting different degrees of understanding and complexity. Families can click here to access the CDE’s family information sheet on the new achievement level labels. Families can also view the CDE’s video explaining the new achievement level labels.

Understanding Student Scores and Accessing Reports

To help families understand the information included in the score report, the CDE provides “What Do the Scores Mean?” resources for English language arts/literacy, Mathematics, and Science. These resources explain how student scores are reported, including overall scores, reporting areas, and achievement levels.
Families can also visit the Fremont Unified School District CAASPP Student Score Reports webpage for instructions on how to access Student Score Reports in the Aeries Parent Portal. For help accessing the Aeries Parent Portal, please contact your school office.
