July 27, 2025
Dear Hopkins Families,
We hope your summer has been full of activities that provide joy and rest. We are excited to welcome students to the new school year and want to bring your attention to the following important information:Â
Parent Data Confirmation: District’s Parent Data Confirmation portal opens today (Thursday, 7/24). Parents/Guardians — Please log into your Aeries Parent Portal account and complete the process for each of your child as soon as possible to avoid any delay to the start of the new school year.Â
School Attendance: Attendance is crucial to students’ learning and school success. It also impacts school funding. Thank you for doing your best to minimize school absences, and report absences to our Attendance Clerk Ms. Salena Yung ([email protected]). Students with unexcused absences at the start of the year may be dropped from Hopkins enrollment.Â
Hopkins Handbook for 2025-2026: Please take a moment to review our school handbook that has information on staff contacts, school resources, and expectations. We welcome you to contact our administrative team if you have any questions or feedback about our school. See below for our contact emails.Â
Course Updates:Â Please note the following updates that may impact students’ class schedules.

Course Updates:Â Please note the following updates that may impact students’ class schedules.
- English Learners’ ELD Pathway: Students identified as English Learners are required by the state to receive English Language Development support through a designated class. This may impact students’ elective choices — students may see an ELD class as their elective instead of their designated preferred choices on their schedule.Â
- Art Experience Course instead of Ceramics: Due to the lack of adequate ventilation and equipment in our kiln room, students in Ceramics are now placed in our new Art Experience class to expand their exposures to art mediums. This semester-long class will explores a range of different 2D & 3D art, including but not limited to: drawing, painting, design, printmaking, ceramics, sculpture, tie dye, and stained glass. Projects explore tools, techniques, art theory, artists and art history.
-
Questions: Once students receive their schedules, please reach out to their grade-level assistant principal if you have any questions —
- (All 6th graders and 8th graders with last names A-Lh) Ms. Joanna Jensen: [email protected]Â
- (All 7th graders and 8th graders with last names Li-Z) Mrs. Jennifer Moore: [email protected] Â
