Homecoming Overview

Go BIG or Go Home

What is Homecoming?

Homecoming is a week at the beginning of the school year that is dedicated to school spirit and class unity. During this week, there are dress-up days to get students involved and different themes are given to each class. Throughout the week, each class performs their own dance and skit, and decorate the entire school according to their theme. A big tradition is also the Homecoming Court. It is a representative group of senior students. The court is announced at the school rally and the King and Queen are crowned at the Homecoming Football Game and the winners of Spirit Week are announced at the Homecoming Dance. The meaning of school spirit is directly associated with good sportsmanship among students and their classes at sporting events, and is loosely based upon encouraging each other.
