Tips for Nominees Parents

For the Homecoming Boys:

*The boys need to pick up their tuxes from Formal Headquarters. They are located in Sears at the Newpark Mall. 

*Their tux is free courtesy of Formal Headquarters. There will be a $7.00 dry cleaning fee.

*The boys will be informed for when and where they will take measurements, pick up, and drop off their tuxes.

*They will wear it during the rally on Friday during fourth block (Guests are not allowed during school hours- Sorry), the football game from 6:30 – 9:30, and at the dance, from 7 – 10pm.

For the Homecoming Girls:

*The girls need to find a dress on their own. They need to find a formal dress that is floor length.

*They will wear it during the rally on Friday during fourth block (Guests are not allowed during school hours- Sorry), the football game from 6:30 – 9:30, and at the dance from 7 – 10pm.

For the Homecoming Game:

*Parents should dress in formal attire to present their student. Please remember that this event is taking place at TAK (Washington High School) which is outdoors and can be cold at times.

*Due to limit space on the stage, we would like the mothers to escort the sons and fathers to escort the daughters. If there are any problems, we need to have at least a guardian to escort the student. We need you at the game by 6:30pm at the latest. Please meet in front of the snack bar at TAK. We are able to only waive the entrance fee for two parents and the nominee.

*Students and escorts will be riding in a convertible around the track to the stage to be presented. Be advised that we may need you to take your high heels off while in the car.

*Please feel free to sit on the Kennedy Side of the football field. It is the side with the decorations and stage will be facing the audience.
