MSJE Student Arrival and Dismissal Guidelines
November 7, 2024
Hello MSJE Parents/Guardians,
Please take a few minutes to review the MSJE Student Arrival and Dismissal Guidelines. I would specifically like to point out the policy for entering/exiting campus through the back school gate on Bautista Street. This open gate provides access for walking students to enter/exit the school. This in NOT a school drop-off zone. All 1st-5th grade students who are arriving to/departing from school by car must be dropped off/picked up from the highly supervised Bryant Street location. Please note that the closest supervising adult to the back gate is stationed at the intermediate blacktop area from 8:05 – 8:20 AM.
As a result of continued evaluation of the safety needs of our school, we will continue to have the back entrance open for walking students to enter/exit the school. We have, however, requested to have a gate installed. This gate will be intended to be closed (with a latch) but not locked throughout the school day.
Please reach out to me directly if you have any questions.
Katy Carter, Principal
