9/15 English Language Advisory Committee Meeting

The purpose of ELAC is to provide an opportunity for parents to advise the Principal on programs and services for multilingual learners and to work with the School Site Council on the development of the School Plan for Student Achievement (SPSA). During ELAC meetings, parents will also receive information from our District English Language Advisory Committee (DELAC) representative, including but not limited to information regarding assessments, the reclassification process, and services that benefit our Multilingual Learners.

Unfortunately, no parents have been nominated/self-nominated to fill our required DELAC Representative position. I am hopeful to fill this position as soon as possible. I will need a supportive parent like you to help. As MSJE’s DELAC representative you would be responsible for attending some or all FUSD DELAC meetings and reporting back to the MSJE ELAC. DELAC parents serve as advisors, communicators, and advocates for English Learners and their families across the district. No experience is needed, and you would never be working alone.
